Patrols cannot have jobs, but instead they will travel back and forth from their home Outpost to another location your empire controls. Anyone assigned to a non-defense providing job will be given the Support role. Unlike guards, Support will not act as the last line of defense and so will retreat if they are the last remaining soldiers at an Outpost during a Raid. Support will remain at their assigned job ensuring that service is available. Guards can be assigned to guard locations outside of the Outpost they live at, such as a Vassal settlement. Anyone assigned to a defense providing Martial plot will be assigned this role. Guards will remain at the location they are guarding to provide defense to it and prevent invading forces from taking over. You can give them a job, but since they may be called in to secure more territory, they are not going to reliably stick with that job. After taking territory, they will be converted to Guards and tasked with holding that territory. Warriors will join you on Assaults to take more territory. Assaults on enemy locations can be started from an outpost's War Planner's Desk.There is an option to turn Auto-Recruitment off, you should use it in case new soldiers keep coming past the limit. Soldiers at an outpost are limited in numbers, based on the available beds/Residential plots.Getting new NPCs will cost caps from the settlement network’s virtual resources or by donating caps via the War Chest at the War Planner's desk.Ĭurrently the cost is 250 caps per Soldier.Power: You can build a municipal power plot or generators, or if there is a Power Transfer in a nearby Settlement and a surplus of power to share, power will be shared with the Outpost.Ī Power Transfer plot is not required in the Outpost.Another benefit to having a Caravan Services plot in your Outpost is being able to purchase Priority Shipments to add Supplies when needed. Caravan Services: is not required, however Survival players may wish to build one for fast travel.You will need to increase the food production in your network to provide food for your Soliders. Water can still be produced via workshop items or municipal plots, but food has to come from elsewhere. Food and Water are shared from the other settlements, as if you had Caravan Services.Most of them come in 2x2 or interior versions. Watch Tower can be built in Outposts and Settlements. New Classes that can be built only in Outposts are Armory, Battlefield Scavengers, Field Medics, Prison, and Recruitment Center. New Martial Plot Classes are unlocked during Chapter 3's story or by recruiting more Soldiers. Those settings can be changed to allow for other types of plots, and/or prevent changing their class to Martial.
